During the control action many illegal products were found in a warehouse, thus on the notification of the customs officers one of our associates went to the scene.

Pillows with the well-known and popular characters from the tale Madagascar and also plush toys were manufactured without the consent of the rightowner, thus they have been confiscated for the well-founded suspicion of perpetrating the crime of infringement of Copyright and Related Rights (Hungarian Criminal Code: s. 329/A).

During the examination of the warehouse the customs officers also found a boxes with hundreds of pyrotechnic items. These items originated primarily from Slovakia.

The distribution of these products requires offical authorisation but the warehouse did not have such an authorisation, so the customs officers confiscated the rockets too. The owner of the warehouse shall be held liable for two infringements of lawful rights.
